Exchanging An Item:

If you have ordered an item incorrectly, then the item can only be exchanged providing the item is being exchanged for the same item but in a different size and is the same value. Items being exchanged must be returned in its original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. Once we have received the item, we will then exchange it for you. Unfortunately we cannot send any exchange item out until the original item has been returned to us. All items must be returned to us using your own courier/postal service. We recommend that you use a 'special delivery' or 'signed for' service to ensure that you can track the parcel.

Please note that if you wish to return a purchased item - then it must be returned to us in its original packaging and in a re-saleable condition.

All products that are returned to us in an unopened and re-saleable condition will be refunded in full.

Items Returned within the seven-day cooling off period:

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the seven working day cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item to you. We will not refund your costs in returning the item to us.

Items returned under the 30-day returns guarantee:

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase between the seven and 30 days after delivery, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund only the cost of the item. We will not refund the cost of any additional delivery service provided to you in connection with your purchase.

In line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 all Optimum Physique products are warrantied against manufacturers defect for a period of 12 months. This does not cover wear and tear. General Exclusions

The following claims/costs will not be covered under the warranty;

• Wear and tear – the warranty is not a warrant that the life expectancy of the product is greater than the duration of the warranty as this is usage dependent
• Neglect or use of the item in a manner other than intended for such a product
• Specific Exclusions
  • Cosmetic damage to paint or vinyl finish to include chipping or flaking on products such as (but not limited to) Kettle Bells and dumbbells. Or any minor cosmetic damage that leaves the product functionally sound.
  • Throwing or dropping of products that don’t specifically cite this usage including, but not limited to, kettle bells, dumbbells and weighted bars and slamming of medicine balls will invalidate any warranty claim.
  • For products designed to be dropped or thrown such as Slam balls these must be thrown against an appropriate gym floor i.e. rubber or EVA. Products damaged against concrete, tarmac, hard or rough surfaces will not be covered in the event of damage.
  • Any damage to flooring, mats or products containing rubber or latex caused by regular exposure to direct sunlight, heat or moisture sources or where the care instructions have not been correctly adhered to is excluded.
  • Carriage or installation costs are excluded.

Claim Procedure

In the first instance any warranty claim should be detailed in writing together with photographic evidence and sent to goal@optimum-physique.co.uk.  Following this further evidence to validate the claim may be requested, including a request to return the faulty goods for inspection - under no circumstance should these be discarded prior to settlement of the claim, without written authorisation from Optimum Physique.

If the item is confirmed as faulty due to a manufacturing defect within the period Optimum Physique will repair or replace the item at our discretion. In the event of repair or replacement the balance of the warranty will remain from the original purchase date.

Safe Use Tips for Resistance Tubes

Resistance tubes  can break down over time due to normal wear and tear from use. It is important to inspect resistance tubes frequently to ensure they are in safe  condition. Almost all injuries from resistance tubes exercises come from improper use. 

WHEN EXERCISING: 

• Inspect Tubes and attachments before every use. 

• Always test the anchors and attachments by applying some body weight forces before connecting the tubes.  

• Never suddenly release a resistance band while stretched/ under tension. A sudden release under tension can cause the tubes to snap back toward the user and result in significant injury.
• Begin all exercises slowly to ensure tubes strength and that any anchor points you have chosen are secure enough for your requirements.
• When training do not wear anything with sharp edges such as jewellery, watches or rings.

• The soles of your work out shoes should be flat and smooth to avoid any damage by rubbing over the tube.
• Never stretch  tubes over 2.5 times its length.
• Do not exercise with resistance tubes on uneven surfaces or gritty surfaces that may cause abrasions to the tube, when anchoring the band make sure that the object you use does not have sharp, rough or uneven edges.
• Be aware during  exercises  you should never draw the tubes directly towards your face. You can mitigate potential risk by drawing the tubes towards the centre of your body or to one side of it or the other depending on the exercise you are performing.
• Do not store tubes near or in direct sunlight.
• Store tubes away from heat sources, excessively hot or cold environments
• Do not fold your bands at acute angles during training or storage.
• Do not leave the band stretched/ under tension when not in use.

Deliveries are dispatched on a 2-4 working day "signed for" courier service using DPD, please allow 4-5 days from dispatch for the Highlands & Islands. Please note delivery time can range between Mon - Fri  08.00am - 10:00pm for a DPD delivery. Never miss a parcel delivery again by using the DPD app on your phone! . We  are also sent by Royal Mail. Please Note - Royal Mail packages do not need to be signed for.

 

 

Damaged or Defective Goods

We endeavour to supply goods that are free from defects in materials and workmanship. You should inspect the goods when you receive them for defects or damage and notify us as soon as possible if there are any problems so that we can arrange for their collection at no cost to you. We will at our option replace the goods or refund monies paid by you.

 

Purchase from outside the UK 

 

WHEN YOU PURCHASE YOU MUST DO SO KNOWING THE IMPORT RULES OF YOUR COUNTRY. WE CANNOT CIRCUMVENT THESE RULES NOR CAN WE ESTIMATE CUSTOMS CHARGES IN YOUR COUNTRY. ALL CUSTOMS CHARGES MUST BE MET BY THE CUSTOMER.
